EIGHT people have been caught for stealing cables in the city's suburban areas, police said yesterday. The suspects worked in small teams, police said.
The gang was allegedly active in Songjiang, Jinshan, Qingpu and Fengxian districts. The value of the stolen cables was estimated at 1 million yuan (US$147,493).
