Arrest approved over fake security faxes
THE Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate Prosecutors' Office yesterday approved the arrest of Ma Jianyun, an unemployed man, for swindling in the name of the Expo organizer and the Shanghai Public Security Bureau.
Ma sent faxes about a forged notice of training in the name of an official security group to about 10 companies in August. The companies were asked to pay 77,400 yuan (US$11,364) for training fees and facilities.
