Arrest in laptops theft case
CITY police have caught a local man who allegedly stole 13 laptops worth more than 60,000 yuan (US$8,784) from a joint venture company in Huangpu District.
The suspect, Wang Zheng, in his 40s, sold the laptops to another man, surnamed Pang who was also detained, for about 10,000 yuan.
Huangpu District police said Wang broke into the company office on 29th floor in a office building on Xizang Road M at about 7pm on August 25.
Police tracked the suspect via surveillance cameras in the office and visited five residential communities in Zhabei District .
Wang had been caught before for theft, police said.
