Arriving rail passengers checked
PASSENGERS arriving in Shanghai by train will undergo security checks from today as the city increases security measures for the World Expo which starts on Saturday.
Rail passengers departing from Shanghai must not carry knives, scissors or other sharp products on trains, today's Oriental Morning Post reported.
They must instead transport them as check-in luggage.
All the luggage and carry-on baggage will be scanned, as part of Shanghai police's security campaign covering local airports, toll stations and ferries.
