Art exhibition opens at Putuo museum

The Jiangnan Spring Citizens Art Exhibition opened today at Putuo Art Museum.
The exhibition is part of the ongoing Shanghai Citizens Art Festival and features 240 paintings.
Traditional Chinese paintings, oil paintings, farmer paintings and even paper cutting works are on display. Each piece covers the distinctive charm of Shanghai and its people in some way.
Organizers said the 240 works were chosen from more than 3,000 entries. An 86-year-old man created one of the paintings on display.
The exhibition will run until October 7.
