Attitudes Change For The Better
AS the World Expo ended, neighborhood officials in the Pudong New Area were pleased to find that people living near the Expo site had changed a lot.
Residents living close to the Expo site seem to no longer be in the habit of wearing pyjamas out on the street, officials from neighborhood committees around the site said yesterday.
People piling up their goods and drying clothes in public spaces is also not as common in residential areas around the site, senior officials of the Nanmatou and Xueye Neighborhood committees told Shanghai Daily.
Residents had complained about a lot of noise and dust during the construction of the site, but committee officials think they would not complain during the dismantling of the site because the dismantling will be organized in a better way to make as less disturbance to nearby residents as possible.
