A MAN was detained for allegedly buying and selling banned toxic chemical material, said Putuo District police yesterday.
The suspect, surnamed Yin, bought the material on November 30 for 109 yuan (US$16) and was going to sell it to a chemistry teacher for 179 yuan, said the police.
