SHANGHAI Railway Police have rescued three stolen babies and arrested six people involved in baby trading.
A suspicious couple holding a crying baby at Shanghai South Railway Station on Wednesday admitted they had bought the baby girl in Guizhou Province for 50 yuan (US$7.31) and were going to sell her for 10,000 yuan in Jiangsu Province, Shanghai Youth Daily reported yesterday. Two more people were later arrested. Another three people carrying babies have also been taken into custody.
