'Bloody fish killing' mess cleaned at Metro Station toilet

A woman, who killed and washed a fish at a public toilet of a Metro Line 2 station Tuesday morning was stopped by the station cleaner, the city's Metro operator said after a post of the incident became widespread online.

Earlier this morning, a post by a Netizen saying an aged woman was seen rushing to a toilet of Jinke Road Station and killing a fish right out there. The sink table was polluted with fish blood with a strong odor filling the place, causing a mess.

The city's Metro operator told Shanghai Daily that the toilet was outside the station's toll area. Officials added that the woman came out from a supermarket nearby and went into the station toilet around 8:45am. The toilet has been cleaned later after the incident and station staff will enhance monitoring over sanitation issues in future, officials said.
