Book show attracts 38,000
MORE than 38,000 people visited the 2nd China Shanghai Children’s Book Fair, which ended yesterday. The total was more than double the number from last year, its organizers said. The steep rise was due to a new display area that was open to the public on all three days of the show, they said. The event also attracted 250 companies and organizations, including Oxford University Press, Penguin Random House and China Publishing Group. Exhibitors presented a wide range of digital and paper books, and magazines, with one of the best-sellers being “The Three-Body Problem” by China’s Liu Cixin, which sold 250 copies during a one-hour book signing.
