Boy, 2, dies at gate

A TWO-YEAR-OLD boy was killed after being hit by a heavy gate yesterday in Yangpu District. The incident happened about 3pm on Xiangyin Road, where the boy was seen playing around the 3-meter-high gate. The boy's head was stuck between the closing door, said a witness. The toddler was pronounced dead later in a hospital. The boy was brought to the city by his parents from Anhui Province. His parents sell fruit for a living in a nearby stall. The family is raising four children. Police are investigating.
