Bridge In Fast Lane
CHUANYANG River Bridge, a planned major thoroughfare for VIP limos to the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai, will have its two road sections from each side of the Chuanyang River connected by the end of this month, according to the builder.
The bridge, at the mouth of the Chuanyang and Huangpu rivers, will enable VIP limos to directly drive from the city's two international airports through Middle Ring Road to the Expo site on the north bank of the Huangpu River.
The entire construction will be a 477-meter-long arch bridge.
Work began four months ago and will be finished by the end of this year, said the builder, Shanghai Construction Co Ltd.
