British adventurer Bear Grylls to run wild with Chinese celebrities, again

A new documentary-style reality series "Absolute Wild" will start its airing on Dragon TV on February 3.
The series is a new program about outdoor adventures featuring famous British adventurer Bear Grylls and Chinese stars.
The eight Chinese celebrities are from the fields of sports, entertainment and the business world. Among them are basketball star Yao Ming, Baidu CEO Li Yanhong, female swimmer Fu Yuanhui, actor Han Geng, Taiwan actress Ivy Chen, Taiwan singer David Zee Tao, football star Fan Zhiyi and mainland actress Liu Yan.
Along with Grylls, they will embark on days of adventure in the remote wild areas of Sichuan Province and the Grand Canyon in the United States. The stars will face challenges from complex and diverse terrain and take unprecedented adventures in the wildness.
The reality series is also a collaboration between Shanghai Media Group’s Yunji Media and Discovery Networks Asia Pacific. It is expected to be distributed overseas.
Last year, Grylls starred in reality series “Survivor Games," which also featured eight Chinese stars who embark on days of adventure in the remote areas in China.
