Bump breaks backs

TWO residents were diagnosed with fractured lumbar spines yesterday morning after falling on a No. 868 bus. The victims said they were sitting on the last row and fell to the floor when the bus hit a bump on Zhongshan Road E1 in Huangpu District.

The bus company said it would talk with the road-construction company about compensation.
