Bus kills elderly woman in downtown crossroad

A woman in her 80s was killed by a bus at the intersection of Yan'an Road E. and Sichuan Road S. in downtown Shanghai this morning.
The high-speed bus of Route 145 tried to steer away from her but lost control and rode onto the sidewalk, hitting a lamp post, a road sign, a trash can and a tricycle, witnesses said.
The elderly woman was knocked out about 10 meters away and was bleeding all over.
It is the second fatal accident involving a Route 145 bus in the same area this week.
