Cabbie returns wallet to Japanese businessman
A Shanghai taxi driver has returned the wallet of a Japanese passenger who left it in his vehicle on Sunday.
The male passenger, identified as Shikano, hailed a Shanghai Dazhong Company taxi together with two friends at 4:24pm on Sunday from Hongmei Road, Changning District. According to the cabbie surnamed Wang, they did not take the receipt and got off on Huichuan Road.
A father and a son later found the wallet in the back seat. The wallet contained two credit cards, a key, and 500 yuan (US$81.17). Wang turned the wallet in to his company. Company employees searched the wallet for identification and found a business card inside, which belonged to Shikano’s Chinese business partner.
The company used this contact to reach Shikano, who was very happy to pick up the wallet.
