Chance to win free wedding, honeymoon
COUPLES can enter a lucky draw to win a traditional South Korean wedding ceremony at the Republic of Korea Business Pavilion and a free honeymoon on Jeju Island.
The only condition: one person has to be from China and the other from South Korea.
Pavilion organizers will hold the wedding ceremony for three lucky couples on August 16, the Qixi Festival, or Chinese Valentine's Day.
If interested, send your love story and personal information to expo2010@kita.net or call 3330-0561.
Organizers will prepare a range of services including a wedding gown, make-up, and photo-shoot for the three lucky couples.
Relatives and friends of the couples will also be invited to the pavilion for the wedding.
After the ceremony, the three couples will be given a three-day honeymoon on South Korea's Jeju Island, organizers said.
"We anticipate a lot of couples will be interested," the organizer said. "It will give the newlyweds a day to remember forever when their wedding ceremony is held at the Shanghai World Expo and in our pavilion with such a special style."
To get the pavilion ready for the wedding ceremonies, the organizer has introduced a "love" party every Saturday evening. People who proclaim their love for their partner in front of others at the party may receive a gift package worth more than 2,000 yuan (US$294). The package includes four World Expo tickets, food coupons, a set of cookware and wine glasses.
The love parties are open to couples of any nationality.
