China Pavilion to reopen next week
THE China Pavilion, one of the hottest pavilions at Expo 2010, will reopen from next Wednesday to the end of May 2011, the Expo organizer said today.
Admission ticket is priced at 20 yuan (US$3). Elders, the disabled, students and servicemen are eligible for a 5-yuan discount. Children under 1.20 meters high can visit for free if accompanied by an adult.
The pavilion will open from 9am to 5pm daily except Monday. Visitors can enter the pavilion through Expo Gate No. 6 on Shangnan Road.
The Expo Boulevard will not open to public.
Visitors will go through the same security check as during the Expo to enter the pavilion.
The Chinese Provinces Pavilion, however, will remain closed.
Bottled water shall be allowed in the pavilion but lighters are forbidden, Qian Zhiguang, deputy director of the pavilion, told Shanghai Daily.
The exhibition will be almost the same as during the Expo.
The national treasure, "Bronze Chariot and Horses," from the Qin Tomb, will still be on display, but might be given back to the terracotta soldiers museum in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi Province, Qian said.
A new exhibition about the China Pavilion's design, construction and exhibit installation will be added to the waiting area of the pavilion.
