Chinese, S. Korean TV executives praise professional exchanges
TV industry veterans from South Korea and China held a ceremony today to mark the long-term cultural exchanges between the two countries.
South Korean broadcasting corporation MBC and DocuChina of Shanghai Media Group released their new co-production about the influence of South Korean pop culture on Chinese young people.
The documentary series, titled "2015 New Era of the Korean Wave" will air simultaneously next month on both MBC and DocuChina.
The series looks at a group of young Chinese singers who receive training and pursue their dream in South Korea. It also provides insight into the current opportunities and challenges the Chinese entertainment industry faces.
Producers of the show said they would also discuss further cooperation in new projects, technology and distribution.
Officials from DocuChina said South Korea has developed a mature and professional entertainment industry, adding it’s a good opportunity for local producers to learn and experience from their South Korean peers.
