City gets diabetes lab

THE first glycated hemoglobin lab in a developing country was established in Shanghai for diabetes research. Glycated hemoglobin is a key indicator for diabetes diagnosis. The lab will carry out diabetes prevalence research and screening and new drug research. China has 92.4 million diabetes patients.
