City police detain groper for 15 days

A man who molested several female passengers on subway trains in Shanghai has been detained for 15 days, eastday.com reported today.
Metro police said they had received 5 reports of sexual harassment on Line 10. According to camera footage, the suspect sought out female passengers who were alone. He would sit next to them, pretend to sleep or listen to music and use a bag to cover up his actions.
The police identified the groper after and investigation. He was caught on December 23 at Line 10’s Sanmen Road Station.
The groper, surnamed Jiang, is from Sichuan Province and he allegedly said during questioning that an unhappy marriage led him to sexually harass others on subways.
