City reports one more bird flu death, toll rises to 14
One more bird flu death is reported in Shanghai today, bringing the death toll to 14.
A local H7N9 patient had died yesterday evening, the city health watchdog announced this afternoon.
The patient, surnamed Jiang, was confirmed to be infected with H7N9 virus on April 10.
Shanghai reported no more new bird flu cases today and also none during the recent 21 days.
Shanghai's first two bird flu cases emerged on March 31 and the city has so far recorded 33 cases. While 15 patients have recovered, 14 have died including the death announced today and four remain in hospital.
