City science authority launches new app to help people starting up businesses

THE city’s science and technology authority introduced a smart phone application with detailed and comprehensive information about business startup incubators and service and policies. The Upday application also offers psychological consultation for business startup groups on emotion and personality management, the first such kind in the nation.
The app developed by East China Science Technology magazine and launched by Shanghai Science and Technology Commission and its district commissions has all detailed hand-drawn maps of all 16 districts’ incubators, their orientations and business startup information.
It will also serve as a platform to include new startup projects, resources and services to help startup groups to find the most appropriate incubators and learn about the latest policy, said local science officials.
