City-level hospitals planned in Changning
Shanghai Health Bureau announced today to team up with Changning District government to help two district-level hospitals in Changning upgrade into city-level hospitals in three years.
Changing currently has no city-level hospitals and its residents have to go to other districts to seek better treatment by experts in well-equipped hospitals, bureau officials said.
To help the Changning District Central Hospital and the Tongren Hospital upgrade into city-level hospitals, the Medical School of Jiao Tong University will hold classes and conduct training and research in these hospitals.
The Changning District Central Hospital will also add a facility for expatriates, the officials said.
