Come for expo, but we want you to stay
EXHIBITORS at the first China International Import Expo are being encouraged to open stores on downtown Nanjing and Huaihai roads.
Huangpu District has released temporary measures for faster business registration and customs inspections, along with cash subsidies. The measures will remain until the end of 2020.
Foreign companies are being urged to set up stores, as well as regional headquarters, on Nanjing and Huaihai roads as well as other commercial areas in Huangpu.
It is part of the city efforts to make Shanghai the first choice for new product debuts, as well as an international shopping destination.
“Huangpu is one of the best places to do businesses for global traders,” said Chao Kejian, director of Huangpu District.
The expo exhibitors and international brands will receive simplified procedures for approvals for business licenses and certificates, as well as on planning, construction, fire safety, quality and hygiene inspections and advertisements.
