Comedian released from hospital after stroke

FAMOUS comedian Zhao Benshan was released from the hospital today after recovering from a stroke.

Shanghai's Huashan Hospital has offered a list of do's and don'ts covering diet, outings and health care, Shanghai Morning Post reported today.

Zhao is in a stable condition now with all his faculties.

He'll now take a good break from acting, said his agent Gao Dakuan. "It will depend on his health when he'll get back to work on TV series, movies and the CCTV gala show."

Doctors said Zhao should avoid excitement, too much alcohol and smoking in the future.

Zhao suffered a stroke in the early hours of September 30 and underwent a successful operation that night at Huashan Hospital.

Doctors said he was suffering from a subarachnoid hemorrhage, or bleeding in the area between the brain and the thin tissues that cover it.
