Competition kicks off to honor medical professionals

SHANGHAI Medical Association today kicked off a competition to honor 50 persons, who have made great contribution to Shanghai’s medical development, in an effort to make the association’s 100th anniversary and showcase Shanghai’s capability in health field.
A total of 20 lifetime achievement awards and 30 outstanding contribution awards will be distributed through competition.
Those applying for lifetime achievement award should work in the field of clinical medicine, medical education and research for at least 50 years and have leading invention or achievement in the nation or world, while those applying for outstanding contribution award should work in the health field for at least 20 years with leading achievements.
