Corporates set to lure visitors
SIX state-owned corporate pavilions in Expo's Puxi site are planning to lure more visitors to strengthen interaction with seven national pavilions in the Pudong site.
And three UBPA pavilions may provide group visitors with quicker access, organizers said yesterday.
VIPs from one of these pavilions may enjoy quick access to the other 15 pavilions and they will support each other by providing hospitality services for important guests under the proposal.
Pavilions in the Urban Best Practices Area at the Puxi site have been giving incentives to visitors since late May by offering reserve tickets to the hottest destinations in the Pudong site to visitors who collected 16 stamps from their UBPA tour.
But this is the first time corporate pavilions in the Puxi site have made similar offers.
"This will strengthen communication between different pavilions and deepen each other's understanding of different countries and industries," said Gong Hanming, deputy chairman of the China State Shipbuilding Corporation Pavilion.
The other five state-owned corporate pavilions are Space Home Pavilion, Space Pavilion, Oil Pavilion, State Grid Pavilion and Information and Communication Pavilion.
Group visitors may also be able enjoy quick access to the rest of the pavilions once they make a reservation with one but details are still under discussion as a framework plan is developed.
Pavilions that became involved include Italy and the United Kingdom in Zone C.
