Couple gets a rude shock from cabbie

AN out-of-town couple are waiting to hear from a taxi company after a taxi driver, furious about the short travel distance, smashed their luggage.
The Shanghai Evening Post reported yesterday that the taxi driver was angry after he discovered the couple only had to travel a short distance after picking them up at the Hongqiao International Airport. The Jinling Taxi Co owned taxi has promised to investigate the incident. The distance from the airport was about 1.7 kilometers, which irked the driver.
