WUZHONG Road underpass was closed due to an accident early this morning, causing serious congestion along Shanghai's Middle Ring Road.
The underpass was closed at 7:18am and traffic authorities advised drivers to avoid the area.
Netizens claimed on the internet that a woman jumped onto the underpass and died after being crashed by cars. Witnesses claimed they saw body parts and large pools of blood at the site.
Investigation is underway.
