Credit card swindler jailed

A MAN was sentenced to six years in prison and fined 100,000 yuan (US$14,766) for swindling by Minhang District People's Court, officials said yesterday.
He Danyan used the identities of others to get credit cards, causing losses of more than 240,000 yuan for banks. About 150,000 yuan was repaid to the banks by his relatives and through returning some of the items he had purchased with the credit cards.
