THE Islamic Republic of Iran celebrates its National Pavilion Day today with a performance of traditional singing and dancing in the Expo Center.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is scheduled to attend the Pavilion Day celebrations at the Expo site this morning. He is scheduled to give a press conference in the afternoon.
The theme of the Iran Pavilion is "Blending Diverse Cultures in the City." The traditional Islamic architecture contains exhibits on the region's ancient art and civilization as well as colorful contemporary lives and advances in science and technology.
Sections cover the past, present and future.
Archeological treasures are displayed.
The Iran Pavilion is in Zone A, between the Lebanon and DPRK pavilions.
