Dealers of unlicensed gas cylinders arrested

POLICE in Songjiang District have detained five suspects involved in illegal supply of liquefied gas cylinders.

The group began their business in July 2010 and had earned more than 600,000 yuan (US$94,880) before their arrest, Songjiang police told Shanghai Daily today.

Their leader, surnamed Zhang, bought cylinders from a market in the neighboring Jiangsu Province and sold them to local buyers through his partners. One partner surnamed Wu sold cylinders worth about 300,000 yuan.

Police warned that the use of unlicensed gas cylinders is very dangerous and urged people to report illegal dealers of liquefied gas cylinders.
