A counter manager was charged with manslaughter yesterday by Minhang District prosecutors. Yu Lixing fired a shop assistant surnamed Zha in April. On May 9, Zha came to Yu's counter and told customers his wares were fake.
Yu slapped Zha's face and she fell, hitting her head on the floor. Zha died a few days later of brain injury.
