Documentary marks 60th anniversary of Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries

MORE than 200 foreign expats and local people attended the premiere of a documentary marking the 60th Anniversary of Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries this afternoon. They also gathered to celebrate the coming Spring Festival.
The documentary chronicles the outstanding achievements of the association in people-to-people diplomacy over the passing decades. In addition, a photo exhibition of the same theme opened at the Shanghai Natural History Museum.
So far the association has received nearly 10,000 delegations of foreign friends from more than 100 countries.
The exchange has enhanced cooperation between the city of Shanghai and other regions of the world in economy, trade, education, culture, science, sports and health.
