Door problem causes rush-hour delays on Metro Line 1
DOOR malfunction stalled a train on Metro Line 1 during the rush hour this morning, causing long delays in the southern section of the route.
The accident occurred around 8:50am, forcing other trains to run at slower speeds in the section between Shanghai South Railway Station and Xinzhuang Station, the Metro operator said.
Workers at Jinjiang Park Station and Lianhua Road Station enacted a contingency plan to restrict passenger flow.
The problem was removed at 9:10am after the train with door malfunctioning was put out of service. Operation returned to normal afterwards.
