Dozens injured in 6-car pile-up during morning rush hour

A six-car pile-up left more than 30 people injured this morning on Zhongshan Road North in Putuo District, police said.
Three buses and one car were among the vehicles reportedly involved in the accident near the intersection of Guangxin Road on Zhongshan Road North during morning rush hour. Traffic in the area was backed up due to the crash.
Many passengers onboard the buses fell and sustained minor injuries like bruises and scrapes. Three sustained bone fractures and were sent to a hospital.
Police didn’t say what caused the accident but wet roads may have played a role.
Traffic police are still investigating the accident.
