Dozens of flights canceled, delayed at Pudong airport this morning due to fog

DUE to heavy fog, 22 flights were cancelled and 24 others were delayed at the seaside Pudong International Airport from 12pm to 9am on Monday.

Ten flights were forced to land at other airports with four landing at Hongqiao, another air terminal in Shanghai, and six landing at airports in other cities, the airport announced.

Several ferry services across the Huangpu River were also suspended this morning as visibility on Huangpu River was reduced to 100 meters

The fog didn’t affect schedules of railway transportation and most of the long-distance buses.

Traffic police said no unusual congestion was spotted on roads and expressways within the city.
