Dragon boat race for international students

EAST China Normal University won the champion at the 10th International Students' Dragon Boat Race in Shanghai today at the Fengxian Campus of East China University of Science and Technology.
Donghua university won the second prize and East China University of Science and Technology claimed the third place.
International students from 29 local universities attended the competition, which was inaugurated in 2008 and has been an annual gala for international students to experience traditional Chinese culture.
There are more than 60,000 foreign students studying in Shanghai colleges, compared to fewer than 42,000 in 2010, according to Yang Weiren, director of the international exchanges department of the Shanghai Education Commission.
The proportion of international students seeking academic diplomas in Shanghai has been increasing.
