Driver killed following car chase

A DRIVER was killed in a fight with another motorist yesterday on the Middle Ring Road following a car chase.
City police said last night that a suspect, surnamed Li, was held at about 11:30pm. According to police, Li had fled the scene after the fight.
Police said they received calls that two cars were speeding on the ring road's Pudong section at 7:40pm.
The drivers fought after parking the vehicles on the ring road, police said. One driver was later found dead.
Witnesses said at first they thought it was a road accident but noticed no apparent damage to the vehicle.
One man was driving a BMW while the other was in a Mercedes, witnesses said.
The Mercedes driver was killed in the fight, city TV news reported.
Investigations are ongoing.
