Eighth-grader stabbed to death by classmate

A middle school student was stabbed to death in a fight with his classmate this morning in Pudong New Area, Shanghai police said.
The suspect surnamed Feng has been detained.
The fight occurred at about 7:30am in front of a supermarket on Laiyang Road in Pudong's Gaoqiao area, police said.
Feng and the victim surnamed Ling were both grade eight students. They had a quarrel which soon turned into a fight, during which Feng took out a knife and stabbed Ling in the back. Ling was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival, police said.
