THE under-construction Shanghai Tower, the city's future landmark in Pudong, will be a "green skyscraper" after it signed an energy management contract with a local lighting company yesterday. The lighting in the office and integrated section of the building is expected to save energy consumption of more than 4,000 tons of standard coal and reduce the CO2 emission of 10,000 tons per year.
