ALL Expo entertainment events scheduled for today are suspended as China mourns the Gansu mudslide victims.
No music will be played when the Expo gates open in the morning, nor will background music be aired around the site. Flags will fly at half-mast.
The Gansu Pavilion will hold a "solemn and simple" ceremony starting 10am today. The big screen in the pavilion will broadcast pictures and videos of disaster relief in Zhouqu County.
The celebration of Equatorial Guinea National Pavilion Day will be delayed to tomorrow afternoon. The country, in West Africa and on the equator, has set up a pavilion exploring the balance between sustainable urban development and environmental protection. The theme is "Sustainable Beauty of the City."
