Everyday lives in focus at China Pavilion

CHINESE residents are invited to record slices of their everyday lives on video to be shown on huge screens at China's national pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010.

Two hundred clips will be selected for professional editors to form into 15 10-minute films to be shown during the Expo, today's Oriental Morning Post reported.

The clips will feature ordinary people's lives at the same period in a day in cities across China.

Each entry, preferably between 30 seconds to 5 minutes, should be a documentary record on digital video and focus on one person or work and life during one of nine appointed periods in a day, the organizer said.

The top four entries will win 10,000 yuan (US$1,464) each.
