Expo hotline ends service
THE multilingual Expo hotline ended service yesterday - from now on anyone calling the number will be redirected to another hotline that deals with various queries and complaints in English, French, Japanese and Chinese.
The 24-hour hotline, operated by China Telecom in cooperation with 962288, the Shanghai Call Center, covered 12 languages during the Expo. It received 2.27 million calls since the hotline opened in May, 2007 and received more than 1.9 million calls during the 184-day Expo.
