Expo to get its own forecasts
A WEATHER team dedicated to servicing the World Expo site is expected to start work next Monday, authorities said yesterday.
Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said the team, six chief service officers and 10 assistants, would coordinate with the headquarters of the Expo Center on issuing weather advice and alerts at the Expo site.
Zhang Zhijie, director of the Expo weather forecast team, said the team would issue weather alerts and inform departments of weather conditions in advance.
