Expo to serve fresh Oz milk

VISITORS to the Shanghai World Expo will be able to drink some of the freshest milk around.

The organizer has shipped 2,875 Holstein cows from Australia to the port of Lianyungang in Jiangsu Province so they can provide milk to visitors during the 2010 event.

The cows will be quarantined for 45 days on a farm in Lianyungang City before being transported to Shanghai.

The entry-exit inspection and quarantine authority of Lianyungang has organized a team to ensure none of the cows has any diseases, particularly the swine flu virus.
