TRAFFIC on Shanghai’s expressways is expected to increase 5 percent over this year’s Spring Festival from last year to an average 770,000 vehicles a day, the Shanghai Road Administration Bureau said yesterday.
Congestion on roads out of the city are expected on the morning of next Friday, Chinese Lunar New Year’s Eve.
Cars with fewer than seven seats will not be charged tolls from next Friday to February 2 on the city’s expressways and the Donghai Bridge.
