Fake 100-yuan notes found in Shanghai market
SHANGHAI police have warned people to look out for counterfeit 100-yuan notes that begin with serial letters of JA as the serial numbers have not yet been used in banknotes.
Police said on its official Weibo microblog that they recently discovered fake 100-yuan notes in Shanghai markets and they are high-quality reproductions.
Police in central China's Hunan Province also found fake 100-yuan notes starting with serials of OG27 and B3H3 and seized about 360,000 yuan (US$56,950) worth of counterfeit money, according to a report yesterday on hunan.voc.com.cn.
