A man had been detained for illegally manufacturing and selling fake ink cartridges, said Hongkou District police yesterday.
The suspect, surnamed Xiao, rented two places in Xuhui and Minhang districts as workshops to produce fake cartridges for printers and sold them in the electronic market in Hongkou, police said. Some 2,611 fake cartridges, with a value of about 100,000 yuan (US$15,011), were found.
